Hi! I'm Amy

Amelia Sasso

My name is Amelia, but everyone calls me Amy. I discovered Pilates in 2009 while dealing with debilitating low back pain from my years as a software engineer.
Pilates helped me move out of pain while building strength and confidence, which led me to pursue it as a career.
I’ve trained extensively across Contemporary, Classical, and Clinical Pilates, including studying with Lolita San Miguel, a first-generation teacher trained by Joseph Pilates. This makes me a second generation teacher of the original method.
Over time, I became a teacher trainer, driven by a passion for helping others teach with more clarity and confidence.
Today, I use Clinical Pilates and evidence-informed approaches to help people with persistent pain return to meaningful activities and build strength.
Alongside this, I offer online Pilates instructor mentorship, supporting teachers in developing their understanding of clinical Pilates, improving their cueing, and learning how to work effectively with pain and injuries.
Through mentorship, ongoing education, and weekly workouts, I help Pilates instructors build confidence in their teaching and apply a clear, strength-based approach with their clients.

My Vision
I believe Pilates instructors should have access to ongoing support after their initial certification—through accessible continuing education, mentorship, and practical tools that build confidence over time.
There should be a space where teachers can ask questions, think critically, and develop their skills without pressure or judgment.
My work focuses on helping instructors deepen their understanding of clinical Pilates, pain, and injuries, and apply evidence-informed principles in a clear and practical way.
Since integrating Clinical Pilates and strength-based approaches into my teaching, I’ve seen clients build strength, achieve measurable results, and return to the activities that matter to them.
Applying these same principles in my own practice has also allowed me to stay strong, pain-free, and consistent.
I’m committed to sharing this approach with Pilates instructors who want to teach with more clarity, confidence, and purpose—so both they and their clients can see meaningful, lasting progress.
